Welcome to Overpacked & Overdressed! My name is Karissa Martinez and I am a lover of travel, food, dark liquors, and all things pink. My day job is based out of North Carolina but outside my 9 to 5, you can find me traveling (and eating) my way around the country. Here you will find travel recommendations, foodie guides, and other travel ideas.

Travel is my part time hobby and full time passion.  

But here’s the thing…

I did NOT quit my job and sell everything I own to travel the world

Unfortunately, it’s not a reality for me and it’s not a reality for most. I do however want to make the most of my short-term travels by exploring every corner of the world one vacation at a time while encouraging others to do the same. Time stops for no one, what matters is how we use the time we have. There are ways to make the most of a weekend, looooong-weekend, or the occasional week-long escape. The world is out there, and it’s  worth exploring every inch whether you indulge in it for 8 months or 8 days at a time.
